Welcome to Benvengudo Hotel
Imagine yourself in the heart of Provence
At 4 star hotel Benvengudo**** in Les Baux de Provence, our ambition is to offer the most authentic experience of a luxury hotel in Provence ...
Carefully selected antique furniture in warm colors, Provencal cuisine and typical setting of pine forest, olive groves, lavender fields and almond orchards contribute to the charm of our boutique hotel in Provence.
Benvengudo is an authentic bastide (the word bastide evokes a country house in Provence), surrounded by its charming gardens and inspiring leisure and repose.
All our rooms and our spacious apartments include private bathrooms, air conditioning and modern amenities like flat screen TV, telephone and some rooms featuring wireless internet.
Our romantic hotel is ideally located and close to the Marseille International Airport or to the TGV train station Avignon.
Founded in 1967 by Maryse and Daniel Beaupied, Benvengudo was built on the grounds of an old vineyard
Chef in the Riboto de Taven in Les Baux (which was awarded one Michelin star thanks to Daniels' culinary talent developed with Paul Bocuse at Fernand Point in Vienna), Daniel undertook the construction of the family Country house. In 1972, Daniel decided to create his own restaurant within the Country house as well as adding guest rooms; Maryse decorated the new rooms with classic Provencal pieces of furniture unearthed by scouring the antique dealers of the area. Today, our Country House offers over 27 rooms, suites and apartments.
The spirit of the Beaupied family reigns since the creation of the Country house where Carole and Sebastien, the two children of Maryse and Daniel, grew up.
Sebastien was on the point of taking on the day-to-day direction of the Inn when he tragically disappeared in 2002. Today it is Carole, and at her side her husband Viktor, who fly the family banner and perpetuate the family tradition while Maryse and Daniel enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
Carole's and Viktor's ambition, at the outset of the 21st century, is to maintain in her family house the spirit and atmosphere whereby everyone is welcomed as a special guest and that they feel at home with the sun and the charm of Provence in background, while offering a level of comfort, care and equipment which will satisfy the most discerning guest.
Carole and Viktor's children, Lara and Adrien, are already preparing to take on the challenge in a few years...
We look forward to welcoming you to our Benvengudo!
Carole and Viktor
